Sandra Ellen Shue King

A memorial service for Sandra Ellen Shue King, 88, of Tyler, will be held on Monday, April 13, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at Stewart Family Funeral Home with Reverend John Redfearn officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. A private family interment will be held in Rose Hill Cemetery in Tyler. Mrs. King passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, April 5, 2026. She was born July 31, 1937 in Jacksonville, Florida to Fred Warren and Mamie Ellen Payne Shue. Sandra grew up in Atlanta, Georgia where she met the love of her life, Ed, in high school. She was a cheerleader and he was a football player. They married on April 10, 1955, and began their family in 1957. Most of her adult life was spent devoted to her family. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. For many years she worked alongside Ed at Chick-fil-A. She volunteered at Mother Francis, the Bethesda Clinic, Breckenridge Village, and was a longtime member of Green Acres Baptist Church. Sandra was preceded in death by her husband, Ed King, her parents, Fred and Mamie Shue, and her sister, Linda Shue. She is survived by her loving family including her children, Chuck King and his wife Rhonda of Longview, Texas, Kellie Ronan of Longview, Texas, James King and his wife Norma of Flint, Texas; her grandchildren, Josh Ronan and his wife Amanda of Willis, Texas, Jason Ronan of Dallas, Texas, Katie Soape and her husband Joel of Longview, Texas, Braden King and his wife Keeley of Longview, Texas, Corey King and Amanda King of Flint, Texas and Jeremy Johnston of Whitehouse, Texas; great-grandchildren, Sydney Ronan of Willis, Texas, Macey Burks of Odessa, Florida, Kingsley and Jordyn Soape of Longview, Texas, and Kamryn and Mason King of Longview, Texas; her siblings, Kay Darrington and her husband Dan of Atlanta, Georgia, Richard Shue and his wife Linda of Social Circle, Georgia; her nieces, Kim Shue Payne and Ami Shue; and many other cherished relatives and dear friends. Pallbearers will be Josh Ronan, Jason Ronan, Braden King, Joel Soape, Corey King and Jeremy Johnston.
